Take a look at Plink. Basically you attach one of your credit/debit cards to your account, then use that card at specific places such as Arbys, Burger King, 7-11, Outback, Quiznos, Red Robin, Dunkin' Donuts and my favorite - TACO BELL. Your earn points with each purchase which you can later exchange (500 points) for gift cards such as STARBUCKS. I've added $15 to my Starbucks through this program. When I'm unsure about a program like this, I choose a debit card that they can't do much damage with. I've been with them since last year and have never encountered a problem. The trick is to be sure you use the right debit card when you are at one of these places. They are adding other things like Gap, Old Navy, Edwards, Regal and United Cinemas. Try it (link)!!!
Update on Starbucks new Hazelnut Macchiato. I was surprised that I didn't get a free or discounted drink via email but, they have coupons for a free drink behind the counter. Ask your barista. The coupon is good till March 31, no restrictions for time of day which I appreciate.
Finally, I did find that Kelloggs rewards program has a Starbucks card. $5 for 6600 points - that's a lot of Pop-Tarts®. I'm only at 705. The various coupons sites such as The Binder Ladies have a list to get you started, here. Its always worthwhile, you never know when your family will become obsessed with Rice Krispies® for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Disclaimer - I am not associated with Kelloggs, Starbucks or any of the fast food, retail or theaters listed in this blog, this is just a summary of my personal observations and opinions,
Again, the Plink link is here
